Recovery of oil and air filters (R4, R3)
The maintenance of vehicles, machinery and industrial equipment generates large quantities of used oil, fuel and air filters, as well as aerosol cans and other contaminated metal-containing waste. At first sight these seem like ordinary waste, but in fact they contain several different, partly valuable materials. In addition to metal, they also contain oil, paper, plastic and other organic matter. The aim of our technology is to separate these components as far as possible and to make as much of them reusable as we can. Processing produces clean metal chippings, recovered used oil and a so-called light fraction. The cleaned ferrous metal can go directly to the steel industry as a secondary raw material. The recovered oil undergoes further processing and can be used, for example, to make an oil product for road construction. The light, combustible fraction can be used to produce RDF fuel. In this way we recover several usable materials from the same waste at once. The technology is capable of processing around 500 kg of metal-containing waste per hour, and used oil filters are recovered in their entirety.
