Project title: Efficiency improvement and capacity expansion in industrial waste processing at Design Kft.
Aim of the development: Capacity expansion and efficiency improvement
Contracted grant amount: HUF 61,807,241
Grant intensity: 70 %
Our project covers the development of the following target areas:
- Purchase of new equipment and machinery
- General (overhead) costs
- Purchase of current assets
1.a) With three new HYSTER 3.5-tonne forklift trucks we intend to equip our expanded waste treatment site with new, modern materials handling equipment. In addition to conventional forks, the trucks are also fitted with drum-clamp and drum-rotator attachments.
1.b) Pelletising equipment DESIGN Kft.'s own product is the DESIKON soil conditioner, which is made from plant ash and significantly improves the fertility as well as the physical and chemical condition of the soil; it is typically a soil conditioner for acidic soils. It is currently sold in powder form; with the pelletising equipment DESIKON can also be produced in pellet form, making its delivery to and application on farmland considerably simpler and easier to handle.
1.c) Single-shaft high-capacity shredder – with its installation we are modernising our existing RDF production and waste processing technology. The new equipment allows us to upgrade the current production line, providing higher capacity and broader applicability for the waste and products produced.
2.) The technology used for the disposal and processing of the collected waste involves significant electricity consumption, and only a smaller part of these overhead costs can be accounted for under the scheme.
3.) Because of our activities and the technologies we use, protection of the environment and of our employees plays a major role. For this reason we spend tens of millions of forints each year on personal work and protective clothing, protective equipment and packaging. Most of the packaging that meets the requirements is destroyed together with the collected waste.
